Science teachers and artists working together, require real time to plan and design their science module and to allocate roles within the teaching of the subject.

Since art and science can in the first instance, feel poles apart finding a neutral point of reference to research can be useful. In this project the science teacher and the Artistic Director read a book, recommended by our research scientist ‘ Crying The Natural & Cultural history of Tears’ by Tom Lutz. In particular , looking at the chapter ‘The Crying Body’ as this both covers aspects of science and the human aspects of tears.
